Tresses Thursday 4/20/17

Hi and welcome to another Tresses Thursday, where I share hair updates, hairstyles, and tips. This week’s post is about a very simple, easy hair style that just takes patience and two mirrors.

First, I washed my hair using something new, Nature’s Gate. I used their Aloe Vera + Macadamia Oil Moisturizing Shampoo and their Henna + Avocado Shine Enhancing Conditioner, which I believe they do not make  anymore because it is no longer listed on their website. What interested me so much in this line of hair care is that their shampoo and conditioner had specific vital ingredients listed on the front of the bottle.

I still used  Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner and combed my hair with a thick-toothed comb to distribute it thoroughly through my hair. Then I twisted all of my hair in to a low bun at the base of my next for a few days.

After a couple of days I unwrapped the bun, and parted the hair into six sections. I used a hand held mirror to make sure the parts were straight and even. From right to left, I braided each section along my head.

At an organic market I was able to find an all-in-one Pure Daily
Moisturizer called Booda Butter. I 20170416_113003.jpghave been using it for last couple of weeks to twist my dreads and let me tell you it is fantastic! For awhile I was just using water and the Direct Leave-In Conditioner, which wasn’t enough to have the hair lock. This Booda Butter boasts that there are 50 ways to use it. It is extremely useful, versatile, and a little goes a long way.

Tasty Tuesday4/18/17

Tasty Tuesday: Broccoli StirfryAminos

Black Pepper-fresh ground

Broccoli

Carrots

Celery

Garlic

Mushrooms

Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

Peas

Red onion

Red pepper

Tumeric

Gave the broccoli and peas a head start, them being frozen and all. Added the mushrooms, salt, black pepper, garlic, and tumeric next. Let that simmer a min then tossed in the rest of the veggies and drizzled aminos over the lot. A few minutes more of simmering and voila yumminess personifiedūüėĄ Adding the veggies for just last few minutes keeps them crunchy and nutrient packedūüėČ.‚Äč

Tasty Tuesday 4/11/17

Hello and welcome to Tasty Tuesday, where we share our latest vegan dishes and experiments. Today for your epicurean pleasure we have some steamed Basmati rice, a side of broccoli with grilled Seven Grain Crispy Tenders.  I drizzled some of Wegmans Organic Chipotle Hot Sauce  over all of it, really pushing the meal over the top. Due to some technical difficulties, Tasty Tuesday is just now coming to you, hello and welcome! Tasty Tuesday is a day where we share our latest vegan dishes and experiments. This week for your epicurean pleasure we have Vegetable Stir-Fry, containing:

  • Red Onion
  • Green pepper
  • Carrots
  • Yellow Pepper
  • Red Pepper
  • Broccoli
  • Peas
  • White Rice
  • Sweet and Tangy Sauce

This meal was particularly delicious and satisfying because of all of the color in it! It was super fun to prepare! We hope there video is a great guide to create your own Vegetable Stir-Fry! If you do, tag us in the post so we can see what an awesome dish you concocted.

  • Koyo Udon Noodles
  • Vegetable Base
  • Water

Tasty Tuesday 2/14/17

Hi and welcome to Tasty Tuesday, where we share our latest vegan dishes and experiments with you. Today for your epicurean pleasure we have a simple Chik’n Fajita Wrap which contains the following:

  • Lettuce
  • Yellow pepper 
  • Red pepper 
  • Orange pepper 
  • Red onion 
  • Gardein Seven Grain Crispy Tenders 
  • Flour Tortilla Wrap 
  • Dairy-Free Ranch 

We sizzled the tenders in a frying pan and thinly sliced the peppers and red onion for better dispersement and flavor coverage. Boy was it delicious! Keep checking in with our blog and Instagram for more fabulously delicious vegan dishes.

Tresses Thursday 2/9/17

Hi and welcome to another Tresses Thursday, where I share¬†hair updates, hairstyles, and tips.ūüėĬ† My goal every week is to try a different hairstyle, and this week’s surely is brand new and extremely simple.

First, I washed my hair using  Andalou hair products, then put Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner in. After that I used a thick-toothed comb to distribute it thoroughly
through my hair. Then, I parted my hair from the top of one ear to the other and twisted the bottom section into a bun to be dealt with later. With the hair in the front I parted it into four sections. Each section before getting twisted along my head received about a quarter sized amount of Desert Essence J0joba Oil. The remaining hair from the twists against my head got twisted into a bun.

With the front done, I moved on to the back section. I applied a quarter-sized amount of jJojoba oil to it, combed it through, and then braided the rest.

And there you have it!
